With the approach of
Yud-Tes Kislev, 5711 [1950], the Rebbe sent out the following telegram to all
Chabad communities throughout the world:

I would ask our brethren of the chassidic fraternity[756] to participate in farbrengens on Yud-Tes Kislev and on the day of the fifth Chanukah light[757] (May these times bring us good things!). An endeavor should be made to include people who do not belong to the chassidic brotherhood, and to organize the widespread dissemination of the wellsprings of Chassidus.
